TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR BONE HEALTH

Osteoporosis and Osteopenia

PREVENT FALLS and COMPRESSION FRACTURES

Osteoporosis and Osteopenia are sometimes called “silent diseases” because people often don’t know they have them until they break a bone.

Compression fractures are painful only 20-30% of the time. Patients may complain of a “catch,” muscle spasm, or nothing at all. According to the National Osteoporosis Foundation, about one in two women will fracture a bone due to osteopenia or osteoporosis [source].

Research has shown that specific therapeutic rehab programming in conjunction with optimal nutrition can halt and even reverse the effects of osteoporosis [source]. However, evidence shows that not all exercise is equal when it comes to building strong, healthy bones or preventing osteoporosis. In fact, some forms of exercise may be linked to a decrease in bone density and lead to bone loss and osteoporosis even in elite athletes.

The physical therapy program for osteoporosis and osteopenia offered by You’re In CONTROL! is uniquely designed to target individual sites of bone loss and focus on developing balance, posture, muscle, and bone strength.

With our help, you can take control of osteoporosis and osteopenia!
