MEN, YOU CAN TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR PELVIC HEALTH

YOU DESERVE SPECIALIZED CARE

Many men are unaware that specialized pelvic floor therapy exists.

At You’re In CONTROL!, we specialize in pelvic health rehabilitation—and while we mostly focus on women’s health, we’ve been helping men reclaim their confidence and well-being for years!

Pelvic health isn’t just a women’s issue; men also face challenges like urinary incontinence, heightened urinary urgency and bladder pain, constipation, fecal incontinence, erectile dysfunction, and premature ejaculation. These conditions can be frustrating, isolating, and even embarrassing—but they’re also treatable.

Pelvic Floor Dysfunction in Men

Many men are unaware that specialized pelvic floor therapy exists—and they settle for generic advice or medications that don’t fully address their concerns. You don’t have to live with these issues! If you or someone you know is struggling with pelvic health challenges, know that help is available.

The pelvic floor is a group of muscles that support the bladder, bowel, and sexual function. Just like any other muscle group, these muscles can become weak, tight, or dysfunctional due to injury, surgery, or chronic strain. When this happens, men may experience a variety of issues, including:

  • Urinary Incontinence – Leaking urine during activities, after urination, or when coughing or sneezing.
  • Urinary Urgency & Bladder Pain – Frequent urges to urinate, often accompanied by discomfort or a sense of incomplete emptying.
  • Constipation & Fecal Incontinence – Difficulty passing stool or accidental bowel leakage.
  • Erectile Dysfunction & Premature Ejaculation – Pelvic floor muscle strength and control is necessary to hold and release erection for sexual function and performance.

Post-Prostatectomy Pelvic Health

The good news? Pelvic floor physical therapy can help!

Men who have undergone a prostatectomy (surgical removal of the prostate) often experience significant changes in bladder and sexual function. This is because the prostate is closely connected to the urinary and reproductive systems, and its removal can weaken the surrounding muscles. Many men experience:

  • Post-surgical urinary leakage
  • Weakened pelvic floor muscles
  • Changes in sexual function, including erectile dysfunction

How Therapy Can Help

At You’re In CONTROL!, we provide specialized pelvic health therapy for men to help restore function, improve confidence, and enhance quality of life. Our expert clinicians use a combination of:

  • Pelvic floor muscle training to strengthen and coordinate the muscles that control bladder and bowel function.
  • Biofeedback therapy to help retrain the pelvic floor.
  • Manual therapy to release tension and improve muscle function.
  • Bladder and bowel retraining to regain control over urinary and digestive habits.
  • Education and lifestyle modifications to improve symptoms and prevent recurrence.
  • E-Stim and Dry Needling to stimulate muscle function.
